Iran's government has begun implementing a plan for governing the country under conditions of prolonged conflict, Fars reported on March 4, citing government sources.

"The emergency plan accounts for all the needs of the population in wartime conditions and, along with its precise execution, can provide the best possible way to govern the country, particularly in the economic sphere," a source familiar with the plan was quoted as saying.

The plan has been communicated to all executive bodies and approved by Islamic Republic President Masoud Pezeshkian.
