US President Donald Trump is not considering using Kurdish paramilitary formations for ground operations in Iran, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said at a briefing.
"Reports that the president approved such a plan have no basis in truth," she said.
Leavitt confirmed that Trump did recently contact Iraqi Kurdistan leaders, but said the talks concerned entirely different matters.
