People’s passage through the Iranian checkpoint on the Armenia-Iran border has resumed, Sputnik Armenia was informed by the Iranian consulate general in Kapan, Armenia.

As of 4am Wednesday, the passage of persons across the Armenian-Iranian land border was halted due to an internet connection failure on the Iranian side.

“The problem has been resolved, persons' passage has been restored,” the Iranian consulate general in Kapan informed.

Currently, however, the processing and registration are somewhat slow, as this process is carried out manually due to the internet failure.
