More than 100 Iranians, including several diplomats, were evacuated from Beirut overnight by a Russian aircraft, a Lebanese official told AFP on Sunday.
"A total of 117 Iranians, including diplomats and embassy staff, were evacuated by a Russian plane that departed Beirut on the night of Saturday to Sunday," the source said.
The Lebanese government had previously banned all IRGC activity in the country.
