Ukraine will send military specialists to Gulf states, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced at a joint press conference with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten in Kyiv, UNIAN reports.
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine has already begun contributing to stabilization efforts.
"The countries of the region and the United States have turned to Ukraine for support. We will provide them with the necessary means — primarily, of course, the expertise and experience of our military in defending against Shaheds and cruise missiles," he stated.
He explained that Ukraine will primarily be providing military expertise. "And they will be sent with the corresponding defensive capabilities. Much is being discussed in this dialogue — if we are talking about increasing certain resources, we would very much like this to be a two-way opportunity. You know what resources we are short of. We understand what resources the Gulf states are short of. So we are talking about that too. Next week, when the experts are on the ground, they will look at the situation and help, because they are going with the ability to help right away. Let's wait for the first meetings and then we'll move forward," Zelensky said.
