The United States has not yet taken serious action to implement the objectives of is military campaign against Iran, US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth told CBS News.

This is just the beginning. The US has not even properly launched this campaign yet, which will more clearly demonstrate how the country will fulfill these objectives, Hegseth said, adding that everything was currently going according to plan.

According to him, the American military capacity significantly exceeds that of Iran. In the current conditions, the US Armed Forces are capable of delivering powerful strikes on military targets using conventional ammunition, 500-, 1,000-, and 2,000-pound air bombs, the Pentagon chief noted.

Asked whether the US plans to remove enriched uranium from the Iranian arsenal that was buried during the military operation carried out in June last year, Hegseth noted that there are many different ways to do this. But he did not say what specific options were being considered for this objective.

The US Secretary of War noted that they will make sure that Iran’s nuclear ambitions are never realized, and the US is prepared to go as far as necessary to achieve success.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump told The Times of Israel that the decision on a time frame for stopping their war against Iran would be made jointly with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
