Israel's Ambassador to the UN said Iran's new Supreme Leader is "just like his late father — the same ideology, the same radical ideas."

"Anyone who will promote these radical ideas against us will become our target," Danny Danon told journalists. "We will find them."

Asked whether Israel supports Trump's statement that the US president should have the right to influence the choice of Iran's next leader, he replied: "There is no gap between the US and Israel," adding: "I think the Iranians themselves should choose their next leader. We will have to create the conditions for that, and that is what we are doing now. But ultimately they themselves will have to rise up and choose their leadership."
