US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Russia must not interfere in the conflict with Iran.

His comment came in response to a question about President Donald Trump's phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin that took place yesterday.

Hegseth described the call as "a decisive call," expressing hope that it confirmed "the possibility of achieving peace in Russia's war with Ukraine."

He added that the call also reinforced "an understanding that regarding this conflict, Russia should not interfere."
