Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government are plunging humanity into a new stage of "Hitlerist darkness" and must be brought to trial, Turkish parliament speaker Numan Kurtulmuş said before the start of a closed session at which the republic's foreign and defense ministers briefed lawmakers on the US-Israeli conflict with Iran, TASS reports.

"Aggression during diplomatic efforts is not a peaceful intention but a drive for destruction. This approach undermines trust in any future negotiating mechanisms. The real problem in this context is the aggressive and lawless Zionist mentality that has today taken control of the Israeli government and its supporters. This must change. We want those who try to present Netanyahu as a second David to understand that they are in fact enabling the barbarism that is dragging humanity into a second darkness of Hitlerism," Kurtulmuş said.

Netanyahu, in his view, must face the harshest trial in history. "Our criticism is directed not against any particular people, but against crimes tantamount to genocide. We object to aggression and political fanaticism that legitimizes occupation. We stand against the transformation of state power into unlimited power of destruction," the speaker stated.

Kurtulmuş also noted that "the destruction of the international system today is not limited to actual conflicts alone." "We are facing a genuine systemic problem in the international system. Ceasefire agreements are announced, but bombardments continue. Peace is spoken of, but blockades intensify. Security is discussed, but civilians are targeted. Humanitarian concerns are voiced, but aid is blocked. This is clearly a system of political manipulation," he said.

In such an environment, Kurtulmuş noted, "establishing peace and concluding ceasefire agreements naturally becomes difficult, and when legal and moral reference points are eroded, relations are built only from a position of force."
