Russian and Iranian Presidents Vladimir Putin and Masoud Pezeshkian discussed the situation in the Middle East in connection with the Israeli-American aggression against the Islamic Republic, the Kremlin press service reported.
Putin reaffirmed his principled position in favor of the earliest possible de-escalation of the conflict and its resolution by political means.
Masoud Pezeshkian thanked Putin for Russia's support, in particular for providing humanitarian assistance to Iran.
