The second phase of the evacuation of Russian personnel and their families from Iran's Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant was completed on Tuesday night, as 150 people are heading to Russia via Armenia, Rosatom director general Alexey Likhachev said.

"150 people left the Bushehr plant a few days ago and crossed the border with Armenia at night, they are already on their way to our country. This is the second phase, the second level of evacuation," Likhachev told reporters.

Now, according to him, about 450 people remain on the platform—those who still cannot leave the nuclear plant for objective reasons.

Likhachev expressed gratitude to the Russian foreign ministry, Russian law enforcement agencies, as well as the leadership of Iran and Armenia for carrying out this evacuation.
