Farhan Al-Fartousi, Director General of the General Company for Ports of Iraq, said that the country’s coastal oil terminals have halted operations. He confirmed that two tankers were attacked near the Port of Basra.

“Oil ports have been halted, while commercial ports are still operating,” Al-Fartousi added, according to INA.

According to Iraqi security officials, one crew member was killed in the attacks on the two tankers. Another 38 people were rescued.
