No one will avoid this choice: if we continue the Karabakh movement, we are going to war, if we do not continue, it is peace, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Facebook live stream.

“Peace will grow stronger with every day, Armenia will grow stronger with every day, and I am leading this movement; whoever agrees, come after me!

When we say ‘Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] Republic,’ the ‘Artsakh issue,’ we must understand that the word has value, consequences. There is no option when these expressions are sounded—be it in the [Armenian Apostolic] Church, be it with scholarly logic, public logic—that it will not lead to conflict at some point.

(...). We [i.e. Armenians] must make a clear choice: are we continuing the Karabakh movement or not? If we are continuing, it means a new war; it cannot be otherwise. The people must say through elections whether we will continue the Karabakh movement or not. The [ruling] Civil Contract Party is the only political force [in Armenia] that clearly says that we should not continue the Karabakh movement; there is no second such [political] force [in Armenia],” the premier noted.
