The Diocese of Armenian Church of Atrpatakan has suspended church services amid attacks on Iran, the diocese reports.
“The diocesan council, chaired by Archbishop Grigor Chiftchian Prelate of the Armenian Diocese of Atrpatakan, has taken precautionary steps by suspending church services in Tabriz and Urmia,” the statement said.
Armenian schools in both cities continue their classes remotely. The diocesan seat continues to operate.
The local Armenian community has not suffered any damage at this phase, and only window panes were broken as a result of the explosions.
