The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that it had destroyed the plane used by Iran's slain Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei at Mehrabad International Airport of Tehran.

The destruction of the plane is a blow to the Iranian leadership's ability to coordinate with allied countries, build military power, and restore the “terrorist regime,” the IDF said in a statement. Thus, Iran is deprived of another strategic asset, it added.

The IDF had recently reported strikes on Mehrabad International Airport at least four times in the past few days. At that time, Iranian radar stations, air defense systems, as well as military and military transport aircraft were identified as targets.
