A three-day-old newborn and the latter’s two-year-old sister were among those killed in a US-Israeli strike on a residential building in the Iranian city of Arak, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said.

The mother and grandmother of these children were also killed in the attack on Arak, southwest of the Iranian capital Tehran, Iranian Press TV reports, citing the IRGC.

“The unjustly shed blood of our three-day-old Mojtaba makes us even more determined in the war against the vile American and Zionist [i.e. Israeli] thugs,” the IRGC added in its statement.

According to the Iranian ministry of health, at least 1,444 people have been killed and another 18,551 injured in Iran as a result of the US-Israeli strikes since February 28.
