The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reopened its airspace after a temporary suspension of the country’s air traffic due to drone and missile attacks, the UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) said, Bloomberg reports.

The UAE's air transport operations have been normalized. The GCAA on Monday had announced the complete closure of the country's airspace. This decision was described as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of all passengers and staff, as well as protecting the UAE's territory in the face of rapidly changing regional security developments.

Flights at Dubai International Airport were suspended Monday after a drone damaged a fuel storage facility located near the airport. A fire broke out, which was later contained. There were no injuries.
