An attempt to revise peace is war, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during a press briefing today.

When asked about hybrid threats, their sources, and the fact that if 65 percent of Armenia’s population, as claimed by the ruling party, supports the latter, then what is there to fear and why ask for help from the EU, the premier replied: “Hybrid warfare is when individuals, through artificial intelligence, paying from abroad, spread falsehoods, claiming that Pashinyan’s family has houses in Dubai, France and Los Angeles, has businesses in Armenia, Russia and abroad, and has millions of dollars in a Swiss bank account, that he is engaged in organ trafficking and sexual exploitation of minors.”

According to him, the ruling party’s victory in Armenia’s parliamentary elections in June will guarantee the irreversibility of the peace process that has begun.

"These [Armenian opposition] forces are advocating a revision of the peace, which means an inevitable war in the very near future, after the elections, in the fall at the latest. They are preparing a new September war with grave consequences," Pashinyan declared.

He added that the incumbent Armenian authorities are therefore working together with all partners who have the tools to combat hybrid threats and disinformation.

When asked who these forces are and what their objective is, Pashinyan noted that the objective is clear: to keep Armenia as a province.

"They are all emissaries to prevent Armenia from becoming independent. (...). All this is about revising peace. An attempt to revise peace is war; directly,” Pashinyan added, in particular.

When asked what the oppositionists will gain from a war, the Armenian PM noted: “They will gain from the war that they will be the governors of an outpost, not the state, because time has shown that it is financially beneficial for them.”

“The main forces, all three, who act from that position, have billions [of dollars] in assets in Russia and Belarus. Now they have been told, ‘Do you want to keep that property? Work, sweat, run, stretch, 30 do push-ups.’ They won't be able to," the Armenian premier added.
