Israel's military leadership is facing a crisis after certain specialized communications groups hacked codes related to secure communications in the Israeli army, Tasnim reports.

According to the Iranian outlet, this was done after obtaining information about the companies and equipment used in Israeli army communications.

As Tasnim notes, the information obtained indicates that the Israeli army uses telecommunications equipment manufactured in Italy, Germany, Austria, and France.

Much of the Israeli army's internal communications and remote wireless system conversations with its command and control system — one of the key structures in battlefield management for Israel — are conducted via an encrypted internet telephony system routed through the infrastructure of these four countries, the outlet writes.

"After information leaked from this infrastructure, the encryption related to communications also fell into the hands of certain cyber experts. The Israeli army has announced that it is aware of the information leak and wants to implement a new communications system, although changing this system is no easy task and cannot happen in the short term," the Iranian outlet reports.
