More than 70,000 Americans have left the Middle East and returned to the United States since the start of the US-Israeli military operation against Iran, the State Department said.
“Over 70,000 American citizens have safely returned to the U.S. from the Middle East since February 28,” Tommy Pigott, the Principal Deputy Spokesperson for the Department of State, said in a statement on X.
According to him, the US “State Department's task force has provided security guidance and travel assistance to 50,000 Americans and the Department has completed over 60 charter flights.”
