  • The US is considering a ground operation to seize the Iranian island of Kharg, the Jerusalem Post reports, citing informed sources. According to them, senior US officials have in recent days briefed their counterparts in Israel and other countries that Washington sees no alternative but to launch a ground military operation to capture the island.
  • Iran's Permanent Representative to the UN Amir Saeid Iravani, in a letter to UN Secretary-General António Guterres, indicated that Tehran considers US President Donald Trump's threats to strike the Islamic Republic's power plants in response to the Strait of Hormuz blockade to be disproportionate.
  • The transmitter of the Persian Gulf Radio and Television Center in the Iranian city of Bandar Abbas was struck, state broadcaster IRIB reported on its Telegram channel. One person was killed, and another was injured.
  • Iranian Vice President Saqab Esfahani on March 22 urged residents of Israel to secure water supplies within the next 48 hours. "Residents of Israel and the peoples of countries where the bases of Iran's opponents are located are advised to stock up on water and charge their mobile phones within these 48 hours," the Vice President wrote on X.
