Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan is convinced that the US cannot sell its share of the Trans-Iranian Passage Project (TRIPP) without Armenia's consent, and shared this view with journalists on March 23.

The Foreign Minister advised reading the text of the document, where it is written in black and white that all transactions are only possible with Armenia's agreement.

It turned out that the press was familiar with the document and was implying Armenia's formal consent under pressure. "Pressure?" Mirzoyan asked and began quoting the well-known Armenian fairy tale "Kikos." The essence of the tale boils down to the absurdity of fearing something that does not even exist in draft form.

"Then we'll talk," Mirzoyan concluded.

Overall, the Minister is confident that negotiations on the TIPP project are proceeding at a natural pace. The next step is the signing of an intergovernmental agreement. According to him, Armenia's role will increase with the implementation of the project.
