Tehran has received no messages from Washington about negotiations or a ceasefire, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei stated.

"No. As you know, we were engaged in a diplomatic negotiation process. And this is already the second time that we were busy with a negotiation process with the US, and they attacked Iran in the meantime. What does this mean? That the US attaches no importance to diplomacy, negotiations, or dialogue," the diplomat said in response to a question about whether messages regarding negotiations or a ceasefire had been received from the US.

According to Baghaei, the US is solely focused on imposing its unilateral demands, and the current conflict is "a vivid example of US betrayal of diplomacy and their unconditional submission to Israel's wishes."

"We are focused on only one thing right now: defending our own country and its territory," Baghaei added.
