Middle Eastern countries must hold the US accountable for the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated during a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan.

"The instability observed in the Strait of Hormuz is a direct consequence of the military aggression unleashed by the United States and the Zionist regime, and the countries of the Middle East and the world must hold those responsible for this situation accountable for their crimes," the press service of the Iranian foreign ministry quoted him as saying on its Telegram channel.
