Officers from the Migration Department of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs have deported 105 foreign nationals over the past several days, including citizens of Russia, the ministry's press service announced.

According to the MIA, those expelled from Georgia included nationals of Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Egypt, India, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Lebanon, Morocco, Myanmar, Moldova, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Sudan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and other countries. The deported individuals have been banned from re-entering the country.

Georgia has been actively cracking down on illegal migration since 2025. The country's parliament tightened immigration legislation, streamlining deportation procedures as well as the rules governing the search of migrants. Each month, Georgia's MIA reports the expulsion of dozens of foreign nationals. In 2025, more than 1,300 foreign citizens were deported from Georgia, 5.6% of whom were Russian nationals. Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze previously stated that up to 4,000 illegal migrants are planned to be deported in 2026.
