Operations at Amazon Web Services' (AWS) cluster of cloud data centers in Bahrain have been disrupted amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, a company spokesperson announced.

According to the spokesperson, as cited by Reuters, the AWS outage in Bahrain is linked to "drone activity" in the area. The company also noted that it is temporarily migrating customers to capacity in other regions. Amazon did not provide details on the extent of the damage or an estimated timeline for restoration.

On March 2, two AWS cloud data center clusters in the UAE lost power following Iranian drone strikes. AWS also reported limited power supply issues at one of its clusters in Bahrain at that time.
