A tragic incident occurred in Yerevan on March 22.

According to criminal news outlet Shamshyan.com, a 40-year-old Yerevan resident identified as Asmik M. passed away at approximately 2:20 PM at the Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center.

The woman had been admitted to the maternity ward of the medical center while pregnant and suffered cardiac arrest following the birth of her child.

Police documented the incident and referred the case to the Investigative Committee of Armenia, which has since opened a criminal investigation.
