Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr has been appointed the new Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic by presidential decree. This was announced by the head of the presidential administration's public relations office, Mohammad Mehdi Tabatabai.

"With the approval of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and by presidential decree, Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr has been appointed Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council," Tabatabai wrote on X.
