Armenia’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan said on social media that since February 28, 10 Armenian citizens in Israel have applied to the Armenian embassy for assistance in returning home.

“On March 25, eight citizens were transported to Egypt’s Sharm El-Sheikh by a special bus arranged by the Armenian embassy in Israel, from where they were to depart for Yerevan on a direct flight.

Two Armenian citizens stated their intention to return to Armenia after completing their contractual obligations.

At the Taba border crossing between Israel and Egypt, Armenian citizens were met by Armenia’s ambassador and consul in Egypt, who accompanied them to Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport, providing the necessary assistance. The citizens departed for Armenia on the Sharm El-Sheikh–Yerevan flight on the morning of March 26,” the statement said.
