Iran has threatened to target Israeli and American universities in the region in retaliation for the attacks on two Iranian universities. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has given the United States time to condemn the attacks.

If the US administration wants to protect its universities in the region from retaliation, it must condemn the bombings of the universities by Monday noon Tehran time, the IRGC stated on X, reports Fars News Agency.

All employees, faculty, and students of American universities in the region, as well as residents of nearby areas, have been advised to maintain a distance of at least one kilometer from campuses.

Earlier, according to Iranian sources, the Isfahan University of Technology and the Iran University of Science and Technology were hit.

Several American universities have regional branches in the Gulf states, including Texas A&M University in Qatar and New York University in the United Arab Emirates.

Meanwhile, the American University of Beirut is moving to remote classes over the next two days, following the IRGC’s announcement.
