U.S. President Donald Trump told Bloomberg that Iran is seeking to resolve the conflict.
“The United States is doing very well. The war is going incredibly well. They want to settle the conflict,” he said.
Since February 28, the United States and Israel have been conducting attacks on Iranian territory, resulting in destruction and casualties. In response, Iran has launched missile strikes on Israel and U.S. military bases in the region.
The U.S. and Israeli strikes also killed Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Seyyed Khamenei, along with several other senior officials.
On March 2, the Hezbollah movement joined the war against Israel. In turn, Israel announced an offensive operation against Hezbollah and entered southern Lebanon.
On March 23, Trump said negotiations with Iran would continue for a week and that further strikes had been postponed for five days. Iran later denied this claim, while Israel rejected Trump’s proposal.
