UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer ruled out the deployment of British troops in Iran, stating that the country would not be “drawn into” Donald Trump’s escalating war in the region, The Independent reported.

“This is not our war, and we are not going to get involved in it,” Starmer said, adding that the UK would continue taking defensive measures and working toward reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

“We have taken defensive action — our pilots are in the air, protecting British lives, British interests, and of course our allies in the region. But we are not going to be drawn into this war,” he emphasized.
