Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization has condemned what it described as a U.S. and Israeli attack on a civilian aircraft carrying medical supplies, an incident that occurred two days ago, Fars reported.

“The Iranian civilian plane was transporting medicines and medical equipment from several countries to Iran and landed at Mashhad Airport. This act constitutes a violation of international aviation regulations and contravenes humanitarian law. Attacks on civilian targets amount to war crimes,” the organization said.

Iran called on international bodies to immediately investigate the incident, hold those responsible accountable, and prevent similar acts from happening again.
