A truck transporting a hydraulic crane from the United Arab Emirates to Armenia has come under shelling in Iran.

According to Sputnik Armenia, the incident occurred a few days ago, about 500 km from the Norduz checkpoint on the Iranian-Armenian border.

At the time of the fall of a shell, the truck was parked, but its driver was not in the vehicle, thanks to which there were no casualties.

The damaged and burned container was transported to Armenia’s Yerevan on Monday.

The damage is currently being assessed.

A source in the logistics company told Sputnik Armenia that this is the first such case, but did not rule out the recurrence of such incidents.
