Schoolboy Davit Minasyan, 18, a participant in the incident involving Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan in Yerevan’s Saint Anna Church on March 29, was jailed Wednesday for 2 months.

His brother, Mikayel Minasyan, on Tuesday was released from detention, but a travel ban was imposed on him.

Public figure Gevorg Gevorgyan, who is facing the same criminal case, was also released on a bail of 5 million drams.

On March 29, Pashinyan’s bodyguards first pushed their way into Saint Anna Church. But when the aforesaid young man said he wanted to stay in his place, an argument broke out. Later, the police forcibly removed these young men from the church.

Three people were detained in this criminal case, two of whom are 18-year-old twin brothers, Davit and Mikayel Minasyan, and the third is public figure Gevorg Gevorgyan.

According to lawyer Lusine Martirosyan, the brothers have an illness incompatible with imprisonment.

According to the Investigative Committee of Armenia, during the investigation of the criminal case initiated on this incident, a public criminal prosecution was initiated against Davit Minasyan on charges of hooliganism, and interference in the lawful official or political activities of an official.

Also, a public criminal prosecution was initiated against Mikayel Minasyan on charges of aiding hooliganism, and interference in the lawful official or political activities of an official.

And a public criminal prosecution was initiated against Gevorg Gevorgyan on charges of organizing hooliganism, and organizing interference in the lawful official or political activities of an official.
