Russia understands Armenia’s domestic political processes amid the election campaign but hopes they will not affect bilateral relations, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“We see that domestic political processes in Armenia are gaining momentum, and elections are coming soon,” the president said. “The main thing is that these domestic political processes—which always intensify during any election campaign, and I am sure it is the same in Armenia as in Russia and other countries—should not harm our relations in any way.”
