Esmail Bagai, a spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has labeled the attacks by the United States and Israel on Iranian educational institutions as genocide.

“Over the past 33 days, the aggressors have deliberately targeted more than 600 schools and educational facilities, including a school in Minab and the Lamerd sports hall. The term ‘war crime’ is entirely insufficient to adequately describe these atrocities. Given the explicit hostile rhetoric toward Iranians as a nation expressed by US and Israeli officials, these crimes are tantamount to genocide,” he wrote on X.
