The trade turnover between Russia and Armenia last year amounted to $6.4 billion. These are high figures—higher than, for example, with neighboring Azerbaijan, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“Two years ago, the turnover was $11 billion,” the head of state reminded. “Last year, 2025, it was $6.4 billion. I want to draw attention to the fact that with the neighboring country, Azerbaijan, it was less than $5 billion—$4.9 billion. This, after all, says something,” Putin emphasized.

“Of this $6.5 billion, $1.2 billion is agricultural products. These are vegetables, fruits, wine—all that Armenia exports,” added the Russian president.

“Some things, in my opinion, are very important for our relations—for example, energy,” Putin also noted.

He further highlighted that Armenia’s exports to various EAEU countries have increased tenfold in recent years.

“If we look at what is happening with Armenia’s economy, I think you assess it similarly. Still, Armenia’s exports to EAEU countries have grown tenfold in recent years,” the president said.
