In order to facilitate trade with Armenia, issues related to customs procedures and logistics are being discussed at various platforms, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz told Azerbaijani media.

“The simplified customs corridor is one of the important examples of these efforts. The process of normalizing relations between Turkey and Armenia is moving forward step by step, based on mutual trust. Concrete steps have already been taken within this framework. For example, the restoration of railway connections, the introduction of electronic visas, and an increase in the number of flights. In addition, there is progress in projects such as the restoration of the Ani bridge. And the positive change being observed in the Azerbaijani-Armenian dialogue also reflect well on this process.

The [re]opening of the land borders between Turkey and Armenia, as well as between Azerbaijan and Armenia, will be one of the most concrete results of the ongoing peace and normalization of relations in the region. Technical preparations in this direction continue, and the necessary infrastructure is being created. It is gratifying that similar steps are also being taken in the process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Thanks to the concrete steps taken in recent times, we see an acceleration of the normalization of relations between the two countries. The stronger the ties between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the faster the normalization process between our country and Armenia will advance," the Turkish vice president noted.
