Iran has claimed that, in addition to a fighter jet, a U.S. helicopter was also shot down, Mehr reports.
“An Iranian missile struck a U.S. helicopter during the search for the pilot of the previously downed fighter jet,” the report states.
Tasnim reports that after the U.S. F-15E was hit, the pilot ejected.
