Armenia's participation in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) currently allows the country to develop at a pace exceeding the average rate of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, TASS reports.

"You have integration in the form of the EAEU. And you earn money there, and not a little money. Your membership in the EAEU now allows the EAEU to develop at an accelerated pace, they are much higher than the average rate of the CIS, and even more so, much higher than here in the Russian Federation," stated the Kremlin spokesperson.

Peskov emphasized that Yerevan understands the impossibility of being in the EAEU and the European Union at the same time, and this is important.
