Georgia welcomes the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated during a joint press briefing Monday with visiting Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, in Tbilisi.
“Georgia supports the peaceful coexistence and constructive cooperation of the countries of the South Caucasus, as well as initiatives aimed at this objective. If necessary, we [i.e. Georgia] are ready to make our positive contribution to the development of these relations,” Kobakhidze said.
Also, the Georgian premier noted the growing role of the Middle Corridor, taking into account the events taking place in the world.
