Iran on Monday presented a 10-point proposal to end the war with the US and Israel. The plan was conveyed through Pakistan, which is acting as a mediator in the negotiations, The New York Times reports.

Although all 10 points of the proposal are not known, according to two senior Iranian officials, Iran is demanding guarantees that it will not be attacked again, the lifting of all sanctions on Tehran, and an end to Israeli strikes on Hezbollah in Lebanon.

In return, Iran will lift its blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and collect a $2 million fee from each ship, which it will share with Oman, located on the opposite coast.

Under the plan, Iran will direct its share to the restoration of its infrastructure destroyed by the US and Israeli attacks. This approach is being proposed as an alternative to a direct demand for compensation.

Iranian state media has made it clear that this proposal rejects a ceasefire and emphasizes the need for a final end to the war.
