Several hours ago, as a result of fire from a combined modern air defense system and actions by IRGC fighters, five Tomahawk missiles and one cruise missile were destroyed in the sky over Qazvin Province, reports Pars Today, citing a statement from Iran’s IRGC.

The Tomahawk missile, equipped with a 500 kg high-explosive warhead, is used to strike infrastructure and strategic targets and is widely employed by the U.S. Navy, the channel notes.

It is reported that U.S. and Israeli forces used this type of missile during an attack on a school in Minab, resulting in the deaths of 175 schoolgirls and several teachers.
