The Armenian government, at its Cabinet meeting Thursday, applied a tariff quota to certain types of Iranian origin goods being imported from Iran to Armenia in 2026.

The respective decision states that a zero percent customs duty will be applied to the import of these goods.

A decision by the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission—the executive body of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)—was taken as the basis for this decision.

The distribution of the permissible amount of imports of certain types of agricultural goods to Armenia among participants in foreign economic activity is carried out in accordance with the provisions established by the decision of the Armenian government.

Taking into account that the Ministry of Economy of Armenia is the country’s state agency responsible for tariff regulation within the framework of membership in the EAEU, it is recognized as Armenia’s authorized agency for issuing licenses for the import of certain types of agricultural goods to the country.
