Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on Tuesday received Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, the Azerbaijani foreign ministry press service reports.

The meeting discussed the political, economic, trade, and humanitarian aspects of Azerbaijani-Russian relations, as well as regional and international security issues of mutual interest.

The importance of mutual visits and contacts in discussing matters on the cooperation agenda was emphasized.

The parties noted that the activities of the intergovernmental state commission for economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia play a significant role in the development of bilateral economic ties, and they held discussions on the work done and promising domains within the framework of this mechanism.

During the meeting, they exchanged views also on some other matters of mutual interest, as well as discussed the prospects for further cooperation.
