At least four people were killed in a shooting at a high school in Kahramanmaras, Turkey, Kahramanmaras provincial governor Mukerrem Unluer said on TRT Haber.

According to reports, the shooter was a student.

The incident occurred at around 14:00 local time.

As per NTV, the shooter was stopped by a teacher before police arrived.

Law enforcement units were sent to the scene.

One teacher and three students were killed in the shooting.

According to the Kahramanmaras provincial governor, about 20 people were injured.

This is the second such incident in Turkey in recent days. Earlier, a shooting occurred at a school in Sanliurfa Province, where the 18-year-old shooter was killed in the operation. Sixteen people were injured, including teachers, students, and a police officer.

The circumstances of the aforesaid incident in Kahramanmaras are under investigation.
