Armenia’s airports served about 5.7 million passengers in 2025, which is 7.5 percent more than the previous year. The Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Davit Khudatyan,  announced this at Thursday’s session of the National Assembly, presenting the 2025 report on the progress and results of the implementation of the Armenian government's 2021-2026 program.

Moreover, the minister noted that 1.3 million of these 5.7 million passengers were served by Armenian airlines.

“Within the framework of the government’s support program, starting from October 2025, one of the largest low-cost airlines in Europe, Wizz Air, has started operating from Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport,” Khudatyan said.

Last year, 48 airlines operated regular flights from Armenia to 67 destinations.

“Last year alone, flights were launched to ten new destinations, including from [Gyumri’s] Shirak airport to Larnaca [city in Cyprus]. Of course, we plan to continue expanding our flight network, including from Shirak [airport],” the Armenian official concluded.
