About eight scientists associated with space research and nuclear physics have gone missing or died under unknown circumstances in the US since 2023, Fox News reports.

Among them is NASA employee Michael David Hicks, who died in 2023 at the age of 59. He was engaged in the study of comets and asteroids, but the cause of death has not been released.

In 2025, Melissa Casias, 53, from Los Alamos National Laboratory, who worked in nuclear technology, was reported missing.

The last on this list is retired US Air Force Major General William Neil McCasland, who disappeared in February 2026. According to Fox News, he had access to classified information.

It added that the White House is considering investigating this information.
