An oil spill has occurred in the Black Sea waters near Tuapse, Russia.

According to the regional operational headquarters, the cause was a drone attack on the early morning of April 17.

Satellite images have recorded a huge oil slick one and a half miles from the port of Tuapse. Its area reaches 10 thousand square meters. According to the authorities, this is a consequence of damage to the infrastructure of the sea terminal.

The oil spill has been isolated. A total of 750-meter-long barriers have been installed, special oil collection equipment has been deployed, and an oil catcher has been installed in this area
